As an NLP trainer, people always ask me, “How can I make money with NLP?”
I remember starting out in this field. As an owner of my own software company, I was already versed in business and marketing, so I was able to break six-figures my first year in NLP. Go to any sales training (I've been through a ton of them) and you will be inundated with the same old stuff.
The Ben Franklin close, the sharp angle close, the take-away, distraction techniques...
A lot of that stuff worked well in the 70s, 80s, and even the 90s, but today's audiences are more sophisticated, more cynical and less trusting today than ever before.
So how do we get through to people whose shields are always "up"?

People are so naturally drawn to music.
Think of a song that brings up deep feelings and ask yourself, why does it do that?
Is it the individual notes played one after another in sequence? Probably not.
Is it the rhythm or the baseline? That can get you grooving, but that’s probably not it.
Is it the words themselves? Maybe, but I think it goes beyond that.
It’s something about the words that makes them so special.
They’re so hypnotic.

The most common question I’m asked after people graduate an NLP or coaching classes is, “Now what?”
Just yesterday, in our new facebook group for Transform Destiny Grads, one person posted, “How do I get my first paying client?”
Easier said than done! I’ve been in business 16 years now (as of 2011), and I’m still learning marketing, because the market always changes.
Learning the tools of the trade only gets you so far. Without “butts in the seat,” there’s no money to be made. You HAVE to learn to move people to action and sign up regardless of their excuses.
1. People no longer want to spend money with strangers or faceless corporations.
You must CONNECT with people before they’ll even look at your product or service.
2. Give more than you sell.
With so many products and services inundating people (30,000 ads per day!) you really must give to get attention.
Manifestation can be difficult if you don’t feel deserving.
The Law of Attraction works on feelings, and your feelings will not be aligned until you begin to feel some love and gratitude for yourself.
So take some time today to stop and appreciate yourself and feel gratitude for the impact you’re making in this world. You deserve success!
