There are so many people who either want to be a coach or are already a coach. We are living in a world where people are stressed out and burned out by constant current negativity, past experience, and anxiety about the future, and they're seeking guidance and direction through coaching.
But what does it take to become a coach, or even better — the cream of the coaching crop — an NLP Coach?
Many people try to claim to be a coach without any kind of training or certification. There are even some people out there who claim that certification is just "a piece of paper."
But often, people begin their coaching careers by just giving advice... but when clients hit their "mental barriers" (which always happens) and the advice doesn't work, they don't know what to do. And when their clients aren't getting results, these coaches end up feeling like failures, or suffering from "impostor syndrome."
The fact is, while certification may be represented by a piece of paper, what it represents is deep training that allows you to be prepared to overcome any limits your clients may have. And then you won't feel like an impostor, because you'll actually be changing lives.
So the question is, how will your clients know that you know your stuff and that working with you is better than working with anyone else?

The biggest challenge in trying to change this limiting mindset is a strong societal belief that we have to a) trade our time for money and b) work hard to earn money.
Many people wrongly believe that it’s impossible to become wealthy unless you’re given an unfair advantage (like an inheritance or a high-dollar education, even though 60% of the Forbes 400 richest people were born in poverty and/or are dropouts), you’re “lucky,” greedy, or even worse... a criminal.

I remember starting out in this field. As an owner of my own software company, I was already versed in business and marketing, so I was able to break six-figures my first year in NLP. One of the biggest ways I help struggling NLP Practitioners, NLP Master Practitioners and NLP Trainers these days is by teaching them business skills to help them thrive with their NLP skills...

Get out of your comfort zone and believe in yourself as much as I do. All it takes is a decision and for you to take action right now.
Transformation begins not by waiting for the right circumstances, but by making commitments that create the right circumstances, right now.
We rarely have the money until we create a commitment to use it.
We never have the time, until we truly commit to doing that which we want.
Life does not reward the uncommitted. Until you commit, everything will stand in your way.
The most common question I’m asked after people graduate an NLP or coaching classes is, “Now what?”
Just yesterday, in our new facebook group for Transform Destiny Grads, one person posted, “How do I get my first paying client?”
Easier said than done! I’ve been in business 16 years now (as of 2011), and I’m still learning marketing, because the market always changes.
Learning the tools of the trade only gets you so far. Without “butts in the seat,” there’s no money to be made. You HAVE to learn to move people to action and sign up regardless of their excuses.
1. People no longer want to spend money with strangers or faceless corporations.
You must CONNECT with people before they’ll even look at your product or service.
2. Give more than you sell.
With so many products and services inundating people (30,000 ads per day!) you really must give to get attention.
Some of the best LoA advice I can give you is to get a coach. Life coach, success coach, business coach … it doesn’t matter. Get them all. I have THREE coaches and always will.
Coaching is designed to help you identify what you want (ask), determine how you can get it (believe), and to stay focused and keep you accountable to your own goals (receive).
Having an outside perspective is also incredibly valuable for the Law of Attraction, because your coach will recognize things in your life that you often won’t.
