There are so many people who either want to be a coach or are already a coach. We are living in a world where people are stressed out and burned out by constant current negativity, past experience, and anxiety about the future, and they're seeking guidance and direction through coaching.
But what does it take to become a coach, or even better — the cream of the coaching crop — an NLP Coach?
Many people try to claim to be a coach without any kind of training or certification. There are even some people out there who claim that certification is just "a piece of paper."
But often, people begin their coaching careers by just giving advice... but when clients hit their "mental barriers" (which always happens) and the advice doesn't work, they don't know what to do. And when their clients aren't getting results, these coaches end up feeling like failures, or suffering from "impostor syndrome."
The fact is, while certification may be represented by a piece of paper, what it represents is deep training that allows you to be prepared to overcome any limits your clients may have. And then you won't feel like an impostor, because you'll actually be changing lives.
So the question is, how will your clients know that you know your stuff and that working with you is better than working with anyone else?
Having that extra skill of becoming an NLP coach by graduating from an NLP Practitioner Training is the answer to that question.
Becoming a Certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner will help you understand your clients better and assist them in making change on a deep subconscious level. This is because after your NLP training course, you'll understand the subconscious so effectively that you'll be able to pick up on their mental blocks (such as negative emotions, limiting decisions, limiting beliefs, internal conflicts, negative anchors and triggers, and more) and have a toolbelt full of tools to help them overcome those blocks within moments.
The NLP skills you'll learn in your NLP training are often so rapid at overcoming mental blocks and mindset issues that people often refer to NLP Practitioners as "masters" or "wizards/wizardesses," and NLP Techniques as "Jedi mind tricks."
Your clients will be astounded at how well they work and at their own results after working with you. Becoming a Certified NLP Practitioner will put you ahead of everyone else in your niche and have all of your peers looking up to you.
If you're looking to make a real commitment to personal growth and development and taking your own life to the next level — and beyond — then becoming an NLP practitioner is a great way to do that. NLP training is all about learning how to use what I call the "Lost User Manual for the Mind " to get the most out of your life. It's a powerful set of tools that can help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be.
On your journey with learning Neuro-Linguistic Programming, you will learn tools to run your own mind, so your mind no longer runs you. You'll learn how to let go of all of your negative emotions (like anger, sadness, fear, hurt, guilt, anxiety, and any negativity from situations in the past — even things from your childhood that you don't remember consciously). You'll learn tools to release all of your limiting decisions through life, and all of your limiting beliefs. You'll change faulty thinking patterns into empowering mindsets, and so much more.
Many people say that the investment in an NLP Practitioner training course is worth the personal transformation alone. And of course, that will help you in your coaching business, in your relationships, and in every other area of life.
The best way to become a Certified NLP Practitioner is to start by picking the right institute for NLP certification. There are many institutes and trainers out there that offer NLP courses, but not all are created equal.
There's nothing worse than investing money and time into a "shortcut" NLP training, only to later find out that your certificates are fake and nobody respects your education.
For example, 30-hour NLP "certification" courses can be found online in which you simply watch a few videos to learn NLP and then print out a phony certificate at the end. Not only will you not learn how to use the tools correctly, but the certificates are a joke in the field. Anyone doing a few minutes of research can find out that people taking these shortcut courses and calling themselves NLP Practitioners are a bit of a fraud.
Certification as an NLP Practitioner requires 120-hours of training and evaluation by a Certified Trainer or Certified Master Trainer of NLP. That means you must not only learn but also successfully perform each technique in the training to earn your certification.
This is to your benefit! If you needed brain surgery, you wouldn't pick a surgeon who went to the cheapest, easiest college to barely get by. You would want someone with the best education! And your clients will want that from you.
Do your research to find an institute with a good reputation and history. Also, make sure that the institute follows the standards mentioned above. You can then feel good about signing up for their NLP practitioner course. After completing the course, you will be able to use the title "NLP Practitioner" proudly and with confidence.
After you have completed your NLP practitioner certification training, you can start charging clients for individual sessions to help jump-start your new income in the field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Completing your NLP practitioner certification training is a huge accomplishment, but it's just the beginning. Now it's time to start charging clients for single sessions for things like breaking habits (smoking cigarettes, vaping, smoking weed, chewing fingernails, drinking unhealthy sodas, eating unhealthy food, etc), creating positive habits (weight loss, exercise, eating healthy, etc), eliminating fears (heights, elevators, flying, public speaking, insects, animals, etc), creating motivation, overcoming mental blocks and limiting beliefs, and more. If there is a single, focused issue a person has, an individual session is perfect for that. And many clients book more than one! (Who has just one problem in life?!)
The best part of this field is, literally every person you meet has things like these in their life they want to change, but they just don't know how. All you have to do is present them the solution (which is you)!
Charging clients for individual sessions is a great way for you to get confident with using the NLP techniques, as well as earning some extra cash. Many new NLP Practitioners start off charging $150 /hr or more. Simple math would tell you that even at just 15 clients per week (three hours per week), that's an annual income of $117,000. Some people even achieve this while still working a day job and seeing clients in the evenings or weekends, which is what I did to get started.
(Note: this is in no way a promise of income. The US FTC makes me say that).
Doing these kinds of short, focused sessions will allow you to get clients fast and start collecting testimonials. The more testimonials you have, the most people will trust you and want to sign up for your high-ticket coaching programs.
After just a short period you will have gained the experience and the testimonials to begin to attract high-ticket clients who want massive, long-term change in their lives.
Creating programs is a great way to lead people through, not just a session with you, but a journey from where they are to where they want to be. You'll have the chance to make an even bigger impact when you work with your clients over a period of time.
And the best part is, because you're providing more value, you get to charge more. Many of our graduates create programs that are $2,500 to $10,000 for a program that lasts a few months, and even $20,000 to $50,000 — per client — for a year-long program. Again, this is not a promise of income, and not everybody creates high-ticket programs like this, but many do.
In my own NLP Coaching business, I've created coaching programs reaching $100,000 for a one year program. We currently have dozens of high-ticket coaching clients and hundreds of group coaching clients that bring in over $800,000 /year, just from coaching alone.
And all because I learned NLP!
Being a Practitioner and Coach is a business. And while business and marketing may be something that are new to you, this doesn't have to be complicated.
Why? Because others have done it before you, and you can learn from them. In NLP, we call this process of learning from others' successes "modeling."
Why learn everything yourself and make mistakes, when you can learn from someone who has already made the mistakes and will just show you what works?
One of the things that makes us at Transform Destiny different from other NLP Practitioner Training institutes, is that we actually help you with the business and marketing. This is not typical. Most NLP training companies only specialize in the NLP techniques themselves. You're on your own when it comes to making money.
Our courses come with fundamental business and marketing training, sales training, and more to help you launch your coaching career.
When you're ready to become a certified NLP Practitioner, NLP Coach, TIME Techniques Practitioner, Clinical Hypnotherapist, EFT Practitioner, visit the Transform Destiny NLP Practitioner Training page. We have both live, in-person trainings as well as online "distance learning" (home study) trainings.
