The NLP Marketing Experiment: Is Your Subconscious Mind a Sponge?

Are you an “aware” person?

Most people think they’re pretty aware and observant, but the fact is, our conscious awareness is tiny compared to the subconscious mind.

I’ll give you an example…

Take a moment to look around your environment. As you do, I want you to notice everything brown in your environment. Just take inventory of everything brown in your environment.  Take about 30 to 60 seconds to try this.

Great. Got it? Good.

Now, without looking around, what is the number of blue things in your environment?

I’ll bet you can’t come even close. That’s because your conscious mind only makes up 0.006% of your mind and can only become aware of what you focus on.

Your subconscious, on the other hand, makes up 99.994% of your mind is constantly absorbing over 2,000,000 bits per second of information from your environment — including so many things you couldn’t possibly be aware of.

The greatest marketers in the world are aware of this and use it masterfully to sell to you.
