Time sure is interesting, isn't it?

Sometimes it slips through our fingers like sands through the hourglass, and sometimes it's slow and sticky like molasses.

This week is an important anniversary for me.

It was 22 years ago this week (on March 12th) that I graduated from a fun three-day course to become a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist.

It was the most magical day of my life... why?

Hypnosis for Overcoming Intense Fears: The True Story of Susan Oliver

Read 7,806 Times : 534 words (Aprox 3 min read)

You may have never heard of Susan Oliver's name, but it's almost a certainty you would recognize her face. Susan had over 120 television and film credits to her name. A well known actress in the 50s and 60s, she appeared in shows such as the Andy Griffith show, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Gomer Pyle: USMC, Gunsmoke, Magnum PI, and Star Trek. She directed shows such as M*A*S*H and Trapper John MD.

On February 3rd, 1959 — the same day Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and the Big Bopper died in a tiny Beechcraft V-35 Bonanza — Susan was on a commercial Pan Am flight that plummeted out of control from 35,000 feet to 6,000 feet before regaining control. This incident left her with a deep-seated phobia and she refused to go near an airplane. She turned down any role that required her to fly for over a year.

She reached out to a hypnotherapist, desperate for help.

Can You Use Hypnosis to "Attract" a Million Dollars?

Read 6,365 Times : 696 words (Aprox 3 min read)

I received this question via email today from one of our clients: "If the subconscious mind cannot reason, question, or reject the command you give it through hypnosis, why can't we suggest to it through hypnosis that we make $1,000,000 in 12 months and then expect the subconscious mind to show me the ways? It seems that my subconscious mind is always sabotaging my goals, even when I use hypnosis to suggest the outcome."

This is a fantastic question, and I'm so happy this client asked it, because I believe the answer can help so many people.

Let's first start by clearing up a myth:

My NLP, Hypnosis and Motivation Quotes

Read 2,421 Times : 356 words (Aprox 2 min read)

Some people have been asking me to post some of my quotes in one place. Here you go:

“Think of all the things you want in life. All of your hopes, dreams and desires. They are the cost of not stepping out of your comfort zone and not taking action.”

“Transformation begins not by waiting for the right circumstances, but my making commitments that create the right circumstances, right now.”

“Ships have heavy anchors that keep them stuck in one place. You have an anchor, too… it’s your index finger. And as long as it is pointing at someone else, you’re stuck. Want to raise your anchor? Learn to be at Cause for everything in your own personal reality. Then you can sail anywhere.”

“The worst things in life are not those things that happen to you, but rather the things you never do. Excuse is the monster in Opportunity’s closet.”

Are songwriters natural hypnotists?

Read 1,622 Times : 386 words (Aprox 2 min read)

People are so naturally drawn to music.

Think of a song that brings up deep feelings and ask yourself, why does it do that?

Is it the individual notes played one after another in sequence? Probably not.

Is it the rhythm or the baseline? That can get you grooving, but that’s probably not it.

Is it the words themselves? Maybe, but I think it goes beyond that.

It’s something about the words that makes them so special.

They’re so hypnotic.

I found a few of these lyrics from popular songs that come right out of the Erickson handbook for ambiguity, presuppositions and Milton Model patterns.

My Daily LoA Tip: What a Hypnotist Knows About the Law of Attraction

Read 1,341 Times : 255 words (Aprox 2 min read)

World-famous hypnotherapist Milton H. Erickson said, “A goal without a date is just a dream.”

When you write your goals (and I hope you do), be sure to attach a specific date to that goal. Without a date, your unconscious mind will hold it in perpetual limbo and you will not vibrate with that intention.

The best way to write and visualize your goal to make the Law of Attraction work, is to state it, see it, hear it and feel it as if you have it NOW – present tense.

“I now have $1,000,000 net.”

In order for your unconscious mind and the universe to manfest a goal, you have to feel like you have it now.

Of course, such a statement can easily feel like a lie, especially if you only have $42 in the bank. And that’s why it’s so important to attach a date, as well as what you’ll see, hear and feel when you’ve got it.

So how do we fix it?
