Twenty-Two Years Ago the Most Amazing Thing Happened

Time sure is interesting, isn't it?

Sometimes it slips through our fingers like sands through the hourglass, and sometimes it's slow and sticky like molasses.

This week is an important anniversary for me.

It was 22 years ago this week (on March 12th) that I graduated from a fun three-day course to become a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist.

It was the most magical day of my life... why?

Because, as a computer programmer (who really didn't like my "day job") in the year 2000, if I hadn't made the decision to take that course, I wouldn't have found my purpose.

Four days after graduating with my diploma, I saw my first client in my living room. I charged $150 for one hour of "work" (it was so easy and fun, I could barely call it work) and he happily paid it.

Not only did I make more in one hour than I had ever made for an hour in my life, but I transformed someone's life, and probably saved a life (he was a two-pack-a-day cigarette smoker before our session, and a non-smoker after our session).

I began seeing clients in my living room after work... mostly as a hobby. What started out as one or two clients per week (bringing in an extra $600 to $1,200 per month in the beginning) turned into a great "side gig" which led to me leaving my stinking "day job" to the tune of a new $150,000 per year career doing hypnotherapy.

I quickly added Neuro-Linguistic Programing and Success Coaching to my certifications and my practice, which allowed me to raise my rates to $350 /hr and then $550 /hr.

People often ask me, "How could you possibly charge more than a doctor when you don't have any kind of college degree?"

My answer: "I provide greater value." Doctors tell their clients to quit smoking or lose weight all the time, but can't get them to do it. I have a success rate of over 90% doing that and more. Is that worth what I charge? My clients who get their life back think so.

How It All Started

In 1978 Dr. A. M. Krasner was a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Hypnotherapy Trainer who thought differently. While most other Hypnotherapy Trainers would only teach Doctors and licensed psychotherapists to use Hypnotherapy, Krasner believed the entire world would benefit from every person knowing how to have a rapport with the subconscious mind.

While other hypnotherapy institutes were teaching months-long courses, covering every nook and cranny of Hypnotherapy (including psychological principles like trauma release and age regression that only licensed psychotherapists can use), Dr. Krasner created a course teaching Hypnotherapy for personal development (behavior-change, eliminating bad habits, creating good habits, smoking, weight-loss, mindset, eliminating fears, increasing motivation, performance enhancement, etc) which is unregulated in most places around the world and doesn't require a degree or any kind of medical or psychological license.

I took the "Krasner Method" training in the year 2000 to start my career, and when I became a Trainer of Hypnotherapy in 2005, I purchased all the rights to the Krasner method.

Dr. Krasner is no longer with us, but his legacy lives on through Transform Destiny.
