In June, I blogged about a dangerous new way to get high, called I-Dosing.
People can now purchase and download MP3 music files that replicate drug states, using binaural beat technology that manipulates brainwaves with sounds.
This is particularly dangerous for kids and teens, because you can’t test their urine, blood or breath to find out if they’re “using,” and their peers tell them that it’s not dangerous, because it isn’t chemical (completely ignoring the mental/emotional effects of using).
I just found out now that it’s also available as an app on iTunes.
If you have kids, it’s very important that you know what they’re downloading, and from where. Be sure to periodically check your teens computer, music player, cell phone, and now, iTouch or iPhone. Seemingly innocent music files could be harming them now.
I just came across this video about a new trend among teens, called I-Dosing. I-Dosing allows kids to get high over the internet, using their computer or MP3 player.
They download the MP3 and listen to it through headphones and it induces drug-like effects.
As silly as this sounds, I’m very familiar with this technology.
It’s called binaural beats, and it has been around since the early 70’s. It’s well-established science...

That is sometimes the case, but growth like that is often reactionary. We only grow to meet the environment around us.
True growth – personal growth on an exponential level – often only happens when we UNlearn.
Think back to when you were a child of, perhaps, five or six, or maybe ten or twelve years old...

We rarely have the money until we create a commitment to use it.
We never have the time, until we truly commit to doing that which we want.
Life does not reward the uncommitted. Until you commit, everything will stand in your way.
Are you motivated?
Do you know what kind of motivation you have?
Most people don’t think about it, but there are actually different kinds of motivation – two, to be exact: “Toward” motivations and “Away” motivations.
The common analogy is “the Carrot vs the Stick.” While that’s a well known analogy, most people don’t realize that it does describe an actual personality trait. Nor do they take the time to figure out which one motivates the people they interact with.
These motivation styles are an example of another NLP Meta Program called Motivation Direction Filter (refer to my previous post on NLP Meta Programs if you haven’t read it yet for other metaprograms).

When you write your goals (and I hope you do), be sure to attach a specific date to that goal. Without a date, your unconscious mind will hold it in perpetual limbo and you will not vibrate with that intention.
The best way to write and visualize your goal to make the Law of Attraction work, is to state it, see it, hear it and feel it as if you have it NOW – present tense.
“I now have $1,000,000 net.”
In order for your unconscious mind and the universe to manfest a goal, you have to feel like you have it now.
Of course, such a statement can easily feel like a lie, especially if you only have $42 in the bank. And that’s why it’s so important to attach a date, as well as what you’ll see, hear and feel when you’ve got it.
So how do we fix it?

The actress, now 30 and in her second pregnancy, recommends that expectant mothers turn to hypnosis to help them have a smooth, enjoyable pregnancy.
Hypnobirthing has been done for the more than 150 years, in one form or another. And these days, you can easily find hypnobirthing practitioners an hypnobirthing classes in your area.
However, why only learn tiny tidbits that only apply to pregnancy? Hypnosis is a powerful tool that allows your conscious (thinking) mind and your subconscious (feeling) mind to be aligned.

When the topic of social networking comes up, I sometimes see people turn up their nose and say things like, “I would never use social networking sites, because I only like real connections.”
Part of me wants to ask, “Oh? So you don’t use telephones either? Or email? Or even hand-written letters??” None of those are “real” connections. But, they do have a point...

The “Big U’s” (your Unconscious & the Universe) don’t respond well to intellectual words. They respond to to pictures, sounds, and most importantly, feelings.
Take some time to close your eyes and put yourself at the goal. Experience it. See it, hear it and generate strong feelings toward it, and it will be yours.
If you’ve ever read the work of Dr. Robert Cialdini, you’ll know that social proof is a concept that states that people tend to do what other people are doing.
This was illustrated in one experiment where they posted a lone man on a street corner who simply stood there and stared up at the sky. Dozens upon dozens of people simply milled by the man, paying neither him nor the sky any attention whatsoever.
However, when they ran the experiment with two cohorts staring up at the sky, something very different happened...
