I just came across this video about a new trend among teens, called I-Dosing. I-Dosing allows kids to get high over the internet, using their computer or MP3 player.
They download the MP3 and listen to it through headphones and it induces drug-like effects.
As silly as this sounds, I’m very familiar with this technology.
It’s called binaural beats, and it has been around since the early 70’s. It’s well-established science...
I sometimes use it in my practice and at home, and I actually have two binarual beat machines for my kids (though, they obviously don’t have a “high” setting).
This is definitely something to keep an eye out for. Even though it’s not “chemical,” this is still very, very dangerous.
Here’s the news clip:
If you have any questions about the technology of it, just ask. I’m quite familiar with it as a therapeutic tool.
