The power of social proof

Read 1,245 Times : 239 words (Aprox 1 min read)

If you’ve ever read the work of Dr. Robert Cialdini, you’ll know that social proof is a concept that states that people tend to do what other people are doing.

This was illustrated in one experiment where they posted a lone man on a street corner who simply stood there and stared up at the sky. Dozens upon dozens of people simply milled by the man, paying neither him nor the sky any attention whatsoever.

However, when they ran the experiment with two cohorts staring up at the sky, something very different happened...

The Business of Changing Lives

Read 1,216 Times : 939 words (Aprox 4 min read)

Well, it has been five-and-a-half long, satisfying weeks.

Our once-per-year round of NLP trainings, starting with NLP Practitioner, then NLP Master Practitioner, and finally NLP Trainer’s Training has come to a close.

After graduation and a few days off for relaxation and reflection, it’s time to get back to the work of spreading the message.

And it really is a simple message: We have the inner-mind tools to change people’s lives, and ANYONE can learn them.

You can learn them to eliminate all the negativity from your life and create happiness, health, wealth and abundance for yourself.

You can learn them to help your family – parents, siblings, kids, whomever – to change their lives for the better.

You can learn them to help others overcome all the obstacles that have ever held them back and charge hundreds of dollars per hour to do something truly amazing.

And you can learn to train others to do all of that and to create immense prosperity at the same time...

What is NLP?

Read 1,216 Times : 664 words (Aprox 3 min read)

So many people ask me, “What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming and why would I want to learn it?”

What if you could make your real life match all those fantasies and dreams you have in your head?

What if you could…

  • Create your ideal career and love what you do for a living
  • Be with your perfect mate (including making your existing relationship magical)
  • Have the body you’ve always desired
  • Create rich, deep connections with your friends and family
  • Communicate with people in a way that makes you most influential, persuasive and insightful
  • Understand the human mind to such an extent, it’s almost as though you can tell what people are thinking

Would that be useful to you?

Discover the Secret Behind The Secret

Read 1,196 Times : 507 words (Aprox 3 min read)

Are you one of the millions of people who saw the movie, The Secret?

I’ll bet you’ve been diligently wishing for your new life ever since.

Maybe you’re sitting in your recliner with your hands on an imaginary steering wheel trying to attract a new car.

Perhaps you’re going to your mailbox wholly expecting with heart and mind to find piles of money in the form of checks, rather than bills.

Or maybe you’re changing the paintings in your home to attract that passionate romantic lover you’ve been waiting a lifetime for.

The fact is, none of that works.

I’m sorry to burst your bubble. The Secret is an amazing movie, and it’s incredibly inspirational, but they left out one, big, important step

Let's take a step back and think about the swine flu rationally.

Read 1,189 Times : 392 words (Aprox 2 min read)

One person posted on facebook last night, “Swine Flu now a pandemic.”

The definition of a pandemic, according to wikipedia is, “an epidemic of infectious disease that spreads through populations across a large region.”

65 US cases of the flu out of 303M+ hardly seems to be epidemic. And it has to be epidemic before it can be pandemic, by definition.

Here’s Congressman Ron Paul – who is also a physician – spoke about this issue. Now I like Ron Paul’s case, but the argument can be made even more relevant. This took me less than ten minutes of research:

My Daily LoA Tip: Choice and the Law of Attraction

Read 1,189 Times : 159 words (Aprox 1 min read)

Have a great day today! As my friend Jack says, “After all it’s your choice. And I’m going to have a good day, because it’s my choice, too.”

So often, people live life like a pinball game. At birth, you come out of the chute, you bounce off of whatever’s in your way for a while, allowing outside influence to change your course in life, and then, eventually, you fall down the black hole at the end.

It doesn’t have to be that way...

Read 1,184 Times : 922 words (Aprox 4 min read)

When you talk to potential clients, do you find that it’s an uphill battle to convince them that YOU can help them change their lives these days?

We still get a landslide of calls each month from people willing to pay me three to four times the amount that other practitioners and coaches charge in my area.

My Daily LoA Tip: Gratitude and the Law of Attraction

Read 1,183 Times : 120 words (Aprox 1 min read)

No matter how bad it seems, take some time to feel grateful for what you have. Take an inventory of life and you’ll find that there are many things to be grateful for.

If you need an extreme contrast to pull you out of your funk, really study someone who seems to be disadvantaged. Check out this video of Nick Vujicic and you’ll begin to feel grateful, almost immediately.

If nothing else, every challenge is a learning experience, which is something you can be grateful for right now.

Keep a gratitude journal and spend some time each day feeling that gratitude and the Law of Attraction will deliver more of what you want and less of what you don’t.
