The Business of Changing Lives

Read 1,266 Times : 939 words (Aprox 4 min read)

Well, it has been five-and-a-half long, satisfying weeks.

Our once-per-year round of NLP trainings, starting with NLP Practitioner, then NLP Master Practitioner, and finally NLP Trainer’s Training has come to a close.

After graduation and a few days off for relaxation and reflection, it’s time to get back to the work of spreading the message.

And it really is a simple message: We have the inner-mind tools to change people’s lives, and ANYONE can learn them.

You can learn them to eliminate all the negativity from your life and create happiness, health, wealth and abundance for yourself.

You can learn them to help your family – parents, siblings, kids, whomever – to change their lives for the better.

You can learn them to help others overcome all the obstacles that have ever held them back and charge hundreds of dollars per hour to do something truly amazing.

And you can learn to train others to do all of that and to create immense prosperity at the same time...

Overcoming Fear of Public Speaking

Read 1,485 Times : 971 words (Aprox 4 min read)

Fear of public speaking is listed as the number one fear in the US, and number three in the UK.

In most studies, people are more afraid of public speaking than death.

Imagine that.

Or, if you’re one of the majority of people who list it there, you don’t have to imagine it. You live it.

Most people don’t know this about me, but until my late 20s, I was incredibly shy.

I was very social with people I knew, but I had a crippling shyness that kept me from meeting new people, advancing in my careers and, though I could always sing on stage easily, from public speaking.

That changed when I let it go with a 15 minute NLP technique, but even with the shyness gone, I still had a hard time composing myself on stage.

All of that melted away when I took Trainer’s Training.

Understanding Motivation

Read 1,401 Times : 339 words (Aprox 2 min read)

Are you motivated?

Do you know what kind of motivation you have?

Most people don’t think about it, but there are actually different kinds of motivation – two, to be exact: “Toward” motivations and “Away” motivations.

The common analogy is “the Carrot vs the Stick.” While that’s a well known analogy, most people don’t realize that it does describe an actual personality trait. Nor do they take the time to figure out which one motivates the people they interact with.

These motivation styles are an example of another NLP Meta Program called Motivation Direction Filter (refer to my previous post on NLP Meta Programs if you haven’t read it yet for other metaprograms).

Read 1,245 Times : 507 words (Aprox 3 min read)

Are you one of the millions of people who saw the movie, The Secret?

I’ll bet you’ve been diligently wishing for your new life ever since.

Maybe you’re sitting in your recliner with your hands on an imaginary steering wheel trying to attract a new car.

Perhaps you’re going to your mailbox wholly expecting with heart and mind to find piles of money in the form of checks, rather than bills.

Or maybe you’re changing the paintings in your home to attract that passionate romantic lover you’ve been waiting a lifetime for.

The fact is, none of that works.

I’m sorry to burst your bubble. The Secret is an amazing movie, and it’s incredibly inspirational, but they left out one, big, important step

Is it Possible to Predict People's Behavior Using NLP?

Read 1,638 Times : 1364 words (Aprox 6 min read)

Wouldn’t it be great to own a crystal ball?

I mean, what if you could look into a crystal ball and predict the way people would react in these situations:

  • Friendships and Relationships
  • Business management
  • Negotiation
  • Sales
  • Education
  • Family life

Of course, everyone knows that crystal balls don’t exist, right? Or do they…
