What Meaning is This?

Friday, April 15th, 2011

Two people standing at the open door of a plane at 8,000 ft feel the same emotion.

One decides to call it fear, the other decides to call it excitement.

One takes a long ride back to the runway, full of regret. The other takes a quick leap and has the time of their life.

It’s totally up to you. What meaning are you choosing to attach to things in your life?

My Top Ten Solid Gold Tips for Making Money in Your Own NLP or Coaching Practice

Wednesday, March 30th, 2011

The biggest thing I’m asked after people graduate an NLP or coaching classes is, “Now what?”

Just yesterday, in our new facebook group for Transform Destiny Grads, one person posted, “How do I get my first paying client?”

Easier said than done!  I’ve been in business 16 years now, and I’m still learning marketing, because the market always changes.

Learning the tools of the trade only gets you so far.  Without “butts in the seat,” there’s no money to be made.  You HAVE to learn to move people to action and sign up regardless of their excuses.

Here are my top ten Solid Gold tips for getting clients that will PAY you, REFER to you, and LOVE you:

1. People no longer want to spend money with strangers or faceless corporations.
You must CONNECT with people before they’ll even look at your product or service.

2. Give more than you sell.
With so many products and services inundating people (30,000 ads per day!) you really must give to get attention.

3. Give without expectation.
When you do give, don’t do it in exchange for contact info or the promise of reciprocation. Just give and enjoy the giving. The difference will be clear.

4. Charge what you can congruently ask for AND receive.
If you’re not confident asking for the price you’re charging, either get confident or lower the price. People will feel the energy of it.

5. Be confident in something.
If can’t be confident in yourself yet, be confident in the techniques you’re using. If you’re not confident in yourself, nobody else will be either.

6. Be an example of excellence, both in and out of your office.
People will want what you’ve got.

7. Walk your talk.
Use your tools on you first. If you’re not well, how can you help others be?

8. Be passionate.
Your energy will infect the client.

9. Learn marketing.
Even if you “hate” marketing, suck it up and learn. ALL business is marketing — it doesn’t matter what you’re selling.

10. Dedicate yourself to continual learning.
The market, and business, change at a fast pace. Be willing to learn all the time.

One of the best ways to learn how to market yourself without having to make all the mistakes I did, is to join my coaching program, Michael’s Inner Circle

I will teach you EVERYTHING I know about running a practice, including:

My Daily Law of Attraction Tip: Pamper Yourself to Better Feelings

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

Take some time to pamper yourself today.  Do something decadent.  Really spoil yourself.

You deserve it, no matter what.

Then allow that good feeling to ripple out and manifest greatness in your life.

To your success,
Michael

My Daily LoA Tip: Settling and the Law of Attraction

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

“Most people are not going after what they want. Even some of the most serious goal seekers and goal setters, they’re going after what they think they can get.” – Bob Proctor.

Look around in your life and ask yourself “What have I settled for?” If you’re like most people, you’ve probably settled for just about everything.

Too often, we accept things “as they are,” instead of making life exactly the way we want it to be.

The fact is, it’s a LIE to believe that you have to do the same old thing, day in, day out.  We often cling to those things we’re comfortable with, even if we’re not happy with them.  But true happiness lies outside of your comfort zone.

The trick is to step out of your comfort zone on purpose.

So take that step out of your comfort zone now and GO for what you want EVERY day!

To your success,
Michael Stevenson

My Daily LoA Tip: Circumstances

Saturday, November 6th, 2010

Don’t wait for circumstances to line up to do what you really want. You’ll be waiting forever!

Instead, make the commitment now and the Universe will align the circumstances to support you through the Law of Attraction.

To your success,
Michael

My Daily LoA Tip: How to NOT Live a Better Life

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

Don’t ask the universe for “more,” “better,” or “greater,” because those comparisons focus on how much you have now.

If you really think about it, saying, “I’d like to make $50,000 more…” is like saying, “I’d like to make more than the $100,000 I make now.” By comparing, you have to focus on how much you’ve got now, thereby amplifying the attraction.

If you’re saying, “I want a better job/relationship/body/life,” you’re focusing on what you don’t want.

Instead of asking for X “more” dollars, figure out the total you want to make, and set that number your goal.

You’ll see immediate results when you stop comparing to what you don’t want…

Regards,
-Michael

My Daily LoA Tip: There’s No Such Thing as Failure

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

Turn each “failure” into a lesson and you grow. That means, if you have an open mind and continue to learn, there’s no such thing as failure.

In my NLP trainings, I teach the NLP presupposition of, “There’s no such thing as failure – there’s only feedback.”

Take Thomas Edison, for example. It took him over 700 tries to create his first lightbulb. If he had been swayed by the first “failure,” (or even the 10th, 20th, 200th, 0r 699th), our world would be radically different.

The fact is, Edison learned from each attempt. With each try, he learned something more about the notion of a lightbulb and kept integrating those learnings into his next attempt.

When you choose to turn everything into growth, that means everything you do is a success, regardless of the outcome.

To your success,
-Michael Stevenson

My Daily LoA Tip: Thoughts Become Things

Sunday, October 31st, 2010

Thoughts become things, so get control of your thoughts (what you focus on) to make sure you get what you want.

Many people think that our thoughts come to us automatically, as if by magic, but the fact is, YOU think your thoughts, and you can change them!

It’s easier than you think and can happen AUTOMATICALLY here: http://manifestationnap.com/c/66-269

To your success,
Michael

PS – Click the link above and you can get three days of my manifestation program for FREE! You don’t even need a credit card. Try it – I know you’ll love it. 🙂

The Paradox of Growth

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

“Growth,” is commonly thought to be the integration of lessons learned.

That is sometimes the case, but growth like that is often reactionary.  We only grow to meet the environment around us.

True growth – personal growth on an exponential level – often happens when we UNlearn.

Think back to when you were a child of, perhaps, five or six, or maybe ten or twelve years old.

There were many lessons to learn:

  • Don’t talk to strangers.
  • Get down off of there, you’ll hurt yourself.
  • Don’t put that in your mouth.
  • We don’t do that.
  • Don’t talk back.
  • Stop being so childish.

Those were great lessons for a child.  The problem is, most people turn them into “life” lesson.

Milton H. Erickson said that most adults’ problems stem from rules that they learned between birth and seven years old that the person has never consciously challenged.

These rules, later, become destructive in adulthood:

  • Don’t talk to strangers = It’s not ok to trust people.
  • Get down off of there = It’s wrong take risks.
  • Don’t put that in your mouth = It’s not ok to experiment.
  • We don’t do that = People are either “good” or “bad,” “us” and “them.”
  • Don’t talk back = Don’t be an individual, or an innovator. Just do as you’re told.
  • Stop being so childish = It’s not ok to have emotions.  Don’t use your imagination.

Think about all those things you learned as a child.  How many of them no longer serve you?
To truly grow now, you need to UNlearn those things you learned then.  That’s REAL personal growth.

To your success,
Michael
