Bidden, Palin, and... Milton Erickson??

Read 1,157 Times : 820 words (Aprox 4 min read)

Unfortunately, I missed all but about five minutes of the veep debate. Realizing that I’m busy teaching a new group of Master Practitioners right now, one of my Prac graduates decided to help out with the blog by sending me this post about NLP use in the debate. Thanks Todd! -Michael

Like many Americans you probably sat in front of your TV and watched Senator Joe Bidden spar with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin in the first and only Vice Presidential debate. Even if you didn’t see the debate you have likely seen clips on the news or heard about how the Governor dominated their exchange.

From an NLP standpoint there can be no doubt that Sarah Palin is trained, at minimum in hypnotic language, and more likely in NLP. She was so masterful in this exchange that it felt like old Milton was right there sitting on her shoulder and telling her what to say...

My Daily LoA Tip: Perseverance and the Law of Attraction

Read 1,141 Times : 75 words (Aprox 1 min read)

“The temptation when the path to success gets too bumpy is to leap back into the comfort zone. Don’t. Keep pushing forward, always forward. The comfort zone is the land of dreams and wishes. Success is the land of results, where all those dreams come true.” -Mark Burnett, Creator of Survivor.

All the best fruit is at the end of the branches, so take a big step out of your comfort zone!

Should we really still be mourning?

Read 1,140 Times : 122 words (Aprox 1 min read)

September 11, 2001 was a terrible, sad, gruesome day.

Was.

It has been a full seven years now.

Our great country was attacked, shocked, appauled, sad, angry, hurt… No collection of words can accurately describe the sentiment that day.

Everybody grieves differently, and for different periods of time.

But, too many people want to keep us focused on the 9/11 disaster, rather than focusing on how America can continue to grow and thrive and be a shining beacon for freedom and the pursuit of happiness around the world.

The time for mourning is over.

If we focus only on the negative events of our past, how could we expect to create anything different?

It’s time to focus on creating our future.

My Daily LoA Tip: Obstacles into Opportunities

Read 1,132 Times : 70 words (Aprox 1 min read)

Begin to see obstacles instead as opportunities.

Each obstacle is an opportunity to learn, exercise, grow and enrich yourself. They’re part of the journey. Learn to celebrate them, rather than damn them.

Without movement, you can’t be obstructed, so the very fact that you experience an obstacle means you are moving towards your goals.

Turn each obstacle into a learning and the Law of Attraction will reward you handsomely.

My Daily LoA Tip: Settling and the Law of Attraction

Read 1,126 Times : 169 words (Aprox 1 min read)

“Most people are not going after what they want. Even some of the most serious goal seekers and goal setters, they’re going after what they think they can get.” – Bob Proctor.

Look around in your life and ask yourself “What have I settled for?” If you’re like most people, you’ve probably settled for just about everything.

Too often, we accept things “as they are,” instead of making life exactly the way we want it to be.

The fact is, it’s a LIE to believe that you have to do the same old thing, day in, day out. We often cling to those things we’re comfortable with, even if we’re not happy with them. But true happiness lies outside of your comfort zone.

The trick is to step out of your comfort zone on purpose.

So take that step out of your comfort zone now and GO for what you want EVERY day!

Money is simply an abstraction of energy.

The bigger your thoughts, the more energy behind them, and the more they’re worth.

So think BIG, then delegate the details! That’s how the Law of Attraction works!
